I have just completed reading Fulmer's entire Trilogy of Valentin St. Cyr's adventures in early 1900's New Orleans. Fulmer is a masterful creator of unforgettable characters and a weaver of flowing prose. To all lovers of great adventures I would recommend reading all three books of this series--in order if possible, though not necessary.
