Recommended for any parent whose child is "more"
This book has done more than anything else to help me understand my spirited child. Coming from two introverted, laid-back parents, her personality was a complete surprise and we really didn't know how to handle it. I learned why my spirited child recharges and behaves the way she does, and from that we were able to develop ways to nurture her own personality while guiding her to acceptable behavior. While every day is still a challenge, I'm able to see the forest for the trees when her intensity and persistence will do her well in life. This book made me go from feeling like I'm the only parent in the world who is feeling so challenged to one who knows how to work with it. I strongly recommend it to any parent whose child is "more."
