This book by Gargarino is a bit outdated but still provides a general idea and past statistics that is valid. The book focuses on middle class families and noes not really touch on the other classes, which I had a problem but for the sake of getting a general idea of type of environment that children are living in oppose to what they were exposed to during the 30's and 40's, is pretty accurate. This book is extremely easy to read, I finished it in just a week. But I think its better to find a book with current numbers and statistics.
