In addition to Nichols, such musicians as trombonists Glenn Miller and Jack Teagarden, clarinetists Jimmy Dorsey, Pee Wee Russell and Benny Goodman, bass saxophonist Adrian Rollini, tenors Babe Russin and Bud Freeman, pianist Joe Sullivan and drummer Gene Krupa are among the sidemen; in addition there are some poppish vocals by Scrappy Lambert, Dick Robertson and Roy Evans although the majority of the cuts are instrumentals, including hot versions of "That's a Plenty," "After You've Gone," "The Sheik of Araby" and "Sweet Georgia Brown." An interesting highlight is a four-song medley (played as a mystery quiz) that is performed by the instrumentation of three trumpets, harp and piano.
