My father wrote this book, which made a lot of people angry. His career began on the Manhattan project, so he knew first hand the dangers of radiation. This book, for the general public, tells true stories of how radiation was treated as a toy and how it killed. Over the last 50 years, we have become complacent about the dangers; it's good to look back and see the consequences that could come back and haunt us all again. The book was translated into 26 languages, including Japanese! At the time of publication, the book created a scandal but it did raise awareness.
