This is a debut recital filled with major operatic hits, but there is something to be said for playing to one's strengths when the more arcane repertory can come later. Those strengths include what has emerged as Willis-Sørensen's signature role, that of Donna Anna in Mozart's Don Giovanni. The role did much to define that of the young dramatic soprano specialty, with its balance of emotional heft, vocal heroics, and melodic fluency, and Willis-Sørensen balances the three adeptly.
