In this installment, Sam leaps into the body of a test pilot with a pregnant wife and then becomes a minor-league ballplayer (though not, it should be noted, in the 90-minute abridgement). Subsequent episodes find Sam coming face to face with the girl he almost married back in 1972, and also inhabiting the bodies of a boxer, a veterinarian, a teenaged hot-rodder, a black man in 1950s Alabama, and a Bogart-like private eye who, D.O.A. fashion, is investigating his own murder.
