While the late Minif'ter prefided, I was of that Number who believed not only, that public Affairs had never been Worfe conduc ted, but that the minifterial Reins could ne ver be committed to more corrupt or lefs skilful Hands: And in this Opinion, Iwas but one of Millions; it was almoft univer fally received; yet ltill was not the Conclu fion the lefs erroneous for being general. We were all ofus mol't certainly in Error; for A 2 Experience, 4 Experience, which is uncapable of Decep tion, as being the Fountain of Truth, hath convinced us, and that to the Coll of the Whole Nation, that a Change may be from bad to worfe.
