D:Fuse's second release in Moonshine's Psychotrance series finds the Texas DJ moving away from the anthemic trance of Psychotrance 2000 toward a darker style of deep progressive house. The monstrous buildups and breakdowns have been replaced by a constant driving tempo with plenty of atmospheric aura and pumping rhythms. There are a few moments such as during LSG's "I'm Not Existing (O. Lieb Main Mix)" and Highland's "Forsaken (Part 2)" when big synth riffs come into play, reminding listeners that this is indeed trance music even if D:Fuse has moved away from many of the genre's more obvious characteristics. The best moments on the mix come during the final few tracks when the music becomes increasingly melodic with beautiful synths and some complimenting elegant female vocals.
