This book was written in the 1970's, so keep that in mind when reading it. If you are too young to know anything about the 70's, this book will be a learning experience, as well as entertaining! Life was simply different then. Spenser and Susan seem to be relatively early in their relationship. Hawk is there as well, going in and out with his "Huggy Bear" routine. You who were born after the 70's - look that up! Good story as you'd expect from Robert B. Parker. One of the greatest treats in my copy of the book was an early photo of the author. Kind of gave insight into the author as a person - more dimension. If you like the Spenser stories, you'll like this book.
