Where this story is going is about the belief in "God". I think if I had not a strong belief in our Creator I would not be here today. My first close contact with the "LORD" came in 1955 when my Grandmother took me to her church, the First Baptist Church in Maybrook, New York. She was a patriarch of the church and going to the Sunday service each time I visited her was looked forward to. Back at home with my folks we would attend the Second Congregational Church in Winstead, Conn. On June 7th, 1956 my pastor, one Roderick McLeod presented me with my first Holy Bible. Since then I have read it twice through and presently am in the book of Isaiah 19-20 Chapter 20. Since living on this earth I have been a member of the Presbyterian Church, Methodist, Protestant Church, Second Baptist Church, the Catholic Church, and the Lutheran Church. One would think that I was a HOLY Roller! In 2008 the worst thing happened to me! My wife passed away from cancer. The worst part is that I had to make the most devastating decision of my life. I sat there for over four hours as her life slipped away. After that I found solace in support groups and became an ordained Reverend in the Universal Life Church. No one teaches you grief, you experience it first hand and have to deal with it on your own terms. So, I hope this book will be a guide to those who have stepped forward to give that one prayer or scripture reading for the consolment and peace to others. Inside you should find an array of prayers for whatever occasion you need one for. Prayers for weddings, funerals, healing, and everyday daily prayers. I have, after a lot of soul searching, included a chapter in this book on GRIEF!LOSING A LOVED ONE IS HARD AND TOUGH, NOT ONLY OF ONE'S MIND AND SOUL, BUT ALSO ON ONE'S PHYSICAL BODY.So, Chapter 9 will follow up in the back of the book, and having lost many people in my lifetime, I Hope I can be of help to someone else. What got me through the whole ordeal of losing a loved one is knowing who I am, and being a survivor. I'm not a Doctor, or professional, but I'm a man who has been there and still has a life to live to its fullest.
