A collection of essays and writings by the architects of the American Midwest "prairie school" style of architecture. Between 1900 and the early 1920s, a group of American architects active in the Midwest gave birth to an original movement: the Prairie School. The Prairie School comprised talented architects such as Barry Byrne, William Drummond, George Elmslie, Walter Burley Griffin, Marion Mahony, George Maher, William Purcell and, of course, Louis Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright.
