I liked the author's own clarity about the shadow work process. And her convicion that if one is involved in the 'prescribed' work (an actual therapy developed to do shadow work), they will succeed. I also liked her enthusiasm to show others how to get thru some difficulties, as she has done, what can result.
What I didn't like as much was the implication I felt to seek out someone who does this therapy, especially for those needing more help. In that, it seemed like a commercial to do this therapy with professional help, in other words seek a practitioner trained in this particular therapy. While I think it is wise to seek professional help, and I practice what I preach, I was dissappointed the book was telling me a basic I already know. Psychological healing generally cannot be done alone, at least not without lasting results.
