Die amerikanische politische Sozialisationsforschung ist aufs engste mit der Entwicklung der Systemtheorie verkniipft. Deren strukturell-funktionale Variante bestimmte weitgehend die Rezep tion der amerikanischen Sozialisationsforschung. Gefragt wurde in diesem Zusammenhang nach der Relevanz politischer Lernprozesse fdr das Funktionieren und den Fortbestand politischer Systeme. Je stabiler das System sein solI, desto homogener miii. \ten die Lernin haIte in der gesamten Gesellschaft sein.
