In these intimate reflections on spiritual awakening; all experienced after walking an extensive spiritual pilgrimage, the author shares their personal insights on relationships, heart-opening, and ultimately perceiving another reality beyond the previous confines of separateness and duality. The poems are written over a four-year period of deep reconnection with the self. As a result, they especially focus on the necessary manifestation of relationship drama and eventual forgiveness, that occurs when the inner self collapses from behavioural tendencies towards conditionality. This process also involves awakened perception of necessary mirrors in one's reality to help develop self acceptance, while also becoming aware that conflict in one's external reality is generally a sign of conflict being transmuted and released from the self. While the emotional upheaval felt in these intimate relationships is discussed in detail in the section on 'Ireland and Avalon', it is important to note from the author's perspective, that ultimately all relationship conflict is an opportunity to look beyond the seeming 'other' to integrate an awakened unconditionally loving self. That when one is experiencing significant, overwhelming conflict and heartbreak in the seeming outer world, this is a great opportunity to go inwards to forgive and embrace unconditional love.
