The two-disc Platinum 80s is one of those ultra-inclusive packages that has a little something for everyone. It's too scattershot and random to be recommended without hesitation, but it makes for a good impulse purchase -- especially if you're looking to own several of these songs to begin with. It's a mess: the people who come to it in order to obtain Genesis' "Land of Confusion" will likely skip right past the Human League, the Cars, Kim Wilde, and Prince.
