There are fundamental problems with the official version of ancient history. Why are Bible scholars unable to find any evidence of the Exodus, and why is it that the annals of Israel nowhere resemble those of Egypt? Because historians look in the wrong place! If we look for New York on the West Coast, we end up with a distorted picture. That is what happened to Egyptology. Pharaohs, dynasties and even kingdoms were assigned places where they do not belong. A number of scholars came to realize that ancient history is in dire need of revision. The reconstructed version of history drastically relocates Pharaohs to their proper places, and all of a sudden Old Testament history rings true. Add to this important archaeological finds, such as the location of the real Mt Sinai, still intact, and we arrive at an astounding conclusion: The fantastic stories of the Exodus and the events surrounding the giving of the law at Mount Horeb are true. It really happened. What cased these unusual events? There is a controversial theory that may or may not be true; it involved a cosmic catastrophe. This, combined with strange natural occurrences during the reigns of the Judean Kings, is the background of this book. It deals with the message of the Bible, redemption, and a possible solution to baffling historical puzzles. The theory of cosmic catastrophes may be difficult to accept, but it is worthy of consideration.
