Sue Bender's account of her time spent among the Amish and what she learned there is an eye-opening and, potentially, a life-changing little book of wisdom. She manages to bring light to some basic old recommendations for learning to focus on the present, to understand the stress of unlimited choices, and to find satisfaction and pleasure in the "doing" rather than seeing our every task as something to be gotten out of the way in order to do something more highly valued.
I recommend it enthusiastically, especially for women who are feeling harried!
