This entry into the At the Hop is somewhat of a letdown, as this subseries usually spotlights uptempo offerings that were huge turntable hits with the Pittsburgh audience. However, the preponderance of slow ballad doo-woppers on this volume is better left for Itzy's other series, For Lovers Only. Highlights do abound in this one, however, including "Vowels of Love" by the Poets, "Buzzzzzz" by Jimmy Gordon, "Ain't Nothin' But a House Party" by the Show Stoppers, "W-P-L-J" by the Four Deuces and "Fat Girls" by the Neons. Not the best one in the series, but it still has its moments. ~ Cub Koda, Rovi
