Soiling and wear to the exterior mostly along the edges at the corners and at the top and bottom of the spine, with two spots on the front cover. There is a small bookstore stamp at the bottom of the inside of the front cover. Otherwise, both the front and back hinges are good, the binding is tight and the interior pages are unmarked. Not an Ex-Library copy. A collection of poems, originally published in 1871 by John Hay, 1838-1905, who served as Lincoln's secretary throughout the Civil War and, after a career as a Diplomat and Author, was named Secretay of State by William McKinley.
