Great book... very informational about all the piers in California. What I like best is the anecdotes, the colorful tips, stories and local lore surrounding many of the piers. The Pier culture is described very well.

Encyclopedia of Califorina Coastal Fishing
This book is one of the "must" have references for all things associated with fishing California's ocean peirs. There's a wealth of information organized in a consistent manner that makes it easy to glean the information you're looking for (and it's a good read too!). This is one of my favorite fishing books.
