At the end of each chapter there are tests which can be used for self-study or for grade course evaluation. Within the traditional dissection portion of a biology course, many programs include the sheep heart, eye, and brain. Within many of these guides, the author has incorporated photographs of these structures to more closely follow standard course curriculum. The author also provides important information on human organs such as the eye, ear, and heart. In this way, the student can better understand the role and function of these organs as they relate to human life processes. Add to this each book's large-size format, lay-flat spiral binding, and reasonable cost, and you can see why the Bohensky Dissection Series has become one of the most successful dissection guides used throughout this country's schools.
