Anyone that wonders what happened in the 60's should read Phoenix to LA. The perspective is from a college student coming of age in a time of social discontent and a complex war. I appreciate that Marty doesn't pretend to know what the answers were, but tries to show his longing to understand the point of view of all sides. I know Marty personally and this is what drives so much of who he is and what makes him good at helping others be who they need to be.
