Bill Brandt. Very Good in Good jacket. 4to 90pp, white and blue/gray striped paper boards with titles on spine and front board in red. Slight shelfwear to bottom spine ends. Faint toning to boards and spine. Previous owner's name and date 1962 written on pencil on front free endpaper, along with the words "First Edition" and a past price in pencil at upper right corner. Slight, irregular toning to front endpapers. Internal pages are clean and unmarked. Brandt's photos remain clear and vivid. Black and white dust jacket with titles in black and red on spine and front cover. Black and white photo on front cover, back cover blank. Jacket shows slight age toning. Price clipped. Top front edge is creased, with a 1/4" tear about an inch and a half in from the spine. and front fore-edge is split. Crease/crumple mark running about 3" from the bottom of the spine upward. Lower front edge is creased and missing a chip near front fore-edge. Back of jacket is intact. Jacket presented under mylar. Introduction by Lawrence Durrell. Brandt's nudes here take unconventional perspectives, often elongating, foreshortening or otherwise distorting body parts or entire bodies.
