I purchased this text book for a base reference to work in the PACU area, after having worked in the OR for many years. It is very thorough and complete if you have never worked in the perisurgical area, (as a nurse). With my OR background, much of the information was unnecessary but the actual chapters involving the Pacu area was very extremely helpful. It serves as decent reference work and teaching aid. Our Pacu maintains a copy for reference in our hospital. I looked at other textbooks but found this to be the best reference. .....
