This was the first romance novel my mother ever let me read, and I've been stuck on Kay Hooper ever since. No matter the genre, her characters are quirky, yet real; never perfect, yet lovable. This book features a matchmaker who, while she has matched hords of friends, has never made a match for herself, and a couple of wacky dogs that will keep you laughing start to finish. Poor Thor never stands a chance with the constant craziness erupting around him. And wait until you find out what "Pepper" stands for. No wonder the poor girl uses her nickname. This book is worth reading over and over.
