Normal anatomy, embryology and physiology of the upper aerodigestive tract are presented as a basis for discussing structural deviations and/or pathophysiology resulting in feeding and swallowing problems. Each chapter presents a specific aspect of assessment and treatment, describes who is responsible and how and why diagnostic or therapeutic procedures are performed. The concluding section of each chapter presents case studies exemplifying the interdisciplinary efforts of the team. Primarily intended for speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, neonatal care nurses, developmental paediatricians and nutritionists, the book should also be of interest to paediatric gastroenterologists and paediatric otolaryngologists.
