Seller's Description:
Good to Very Good in Very Good jacket. Alabama History. Signed and Inscribed By Author 256 pages. Illustrated. The book looks as if it has been read once. John Patterson, a native of Phenix City, Alabama, was elected governor of Alabama in the 1958 election. He served from 1959 through 1963. His father, Albert Patterson, was assassinated by organized crime figures from Phenix City. Patterson had been instrumental in attacking the crime syndicate controlling Phenix City, during his term as attorney general. He was assassinated in Phenix City in 1954.
