Any way the literary aspect of the book is far from being the least attractive and suggestive. M. Proal's discussion of Wert/zer in particular and other books, such as jean Jacques Rousseau's, of the same period and tendency, in their bearing on suicide, being profoundly interesting, and, indeed, a masterpiece of its kind.
