The palazzo, acquired by the Loredan family in 1536, was restructured in the Renaissance style by Antonio Scarpagnino. Remnants of the original gothic building that belonged to the Mocenigo family can be found in the wall towards the canal, the fifteenth-century gothic well-head in the entrance and the arches in Istrian stone resting on late-gothic capitals.
