This book with an excellent introduction about George McLean by David Lank. It has many of George McClean's awe inspiring animal portraits together with his own insights into the paintings. The text and images illutrate his intimate understanding and skilled observation of his subjects. Several years ago I saw his 'Cougar reclining in a tree' and can still remember the powerful presence it projected. I only wish I lived across the 'pond' and had the opportunity to see more of his work.
