Couldn't put this book down. The descriptions and the format were great.
I could read a specific section without losing the overall theme.
Especially liked the list of those who were hurt or perished and the dates.

Must read if planning a hike in the Canyon
I purchased this book after my first visit to the Grand Canyon. If you are planning to hike the Grand Canyon it is helpful to know how people die there, as a lot of people do not heed the warnings about the heat and other dangers. There have been airline crashes in the Grand Canyon and there is a memorial there for the people that lost their lives in one crash. There are a lot of good stories. If you are planning a river rafting trip, this is interesting as it is something I will never do there. It describes how the rafting guides take you in the most dangerous part of the Colorado River (the eddy) just to give you a thrill. I just loved this book.
