Culturally aware
I recommend this book to both Jewish and non-Jewish readers. It rekindled my awareness of Jewish culture separated from the religious aspect...the history and rediscovery of Yiddish influence on literature, philosophy, the arts, etc., and on person's quest to recover this history.
