Drawing from a vast reservoir of Jewish and general knowledge, "the Rav, " as he is widely known, brought Jewish thought and law to bear on the interpretation and assessment of the modern experience. His works have relevance for all who seek to appreciate the religious experience in the modern world. Although many of the writings of Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik (1903-1993), have been published over the years, he left at the time of his death a rich collection of unpublished manuscripts. The series MeOtzar HoRav ("From the Treasure Trove of the Rav") now brings these writings to the public, substantially expanding our understanding of the Rav's thought and of the diverse topics he addressed.
