Our Moon Festival is a unique book because it teaches children how the Japanese, Vietnamese, and Chinese communities celebrate the Moon Festival. I enjoyed reading this myself because this is all new to me. Features in the book is The Mid-Autumn Festival in Shanghai, The ¤et Trung Thu- The Vietnamese Moon Festival and Tsukimi Japanese Moon Festival.
The illustrations created be Christina Nel Lopez are outstanding, with bright vibrant colors that would catch anyones eye on the bookshelves. I love the attention to details in each page of the book. And the way the illustrations to life is amazing. I think it is so neat to teach children about other cultures and their activities and author Yobe Qiu does a fabulous job of showing the details. This book should be in all elementary school libraries and it would be great in any place a child may go. Our Moon Festival by Yobe Qiu is Five Stars for me.
A special thanks to the author/publisher for a copy of this book. I am not required to write a positive review, the opinions here are mine alone. I am disclosing this with my review in accordance with the Federal Trade Commissions 16 CFR, Part 255.
