This is exactly what DJ Colette has done with her recording Our Day. This is a fantastic recording, and one of the few original recordings by a DJ that manages to leave the fingerprints and voice, literally, in the case of the first track, "Intro: Our Day," which showcases DJ Colette actually singing an a cappella piece. The album is an invigorating mix of fresh house tracks with an original feel and sound. It showcases the work of Synthtique, Angel Alanis, Rob Mello, and a variety of other obscure artists working in the DJ/house genre. DJ Colette's Our Day is quite possibly one of the finest mix recordings out there, and one of the few that actually showcases the character of the artist and the records she plays, rather than just the records.
