This has the most detail available. It's very well done. Includes personal interviews of witnesses. As to why Stauffenberg did not include the second pack of explosive, perhaps he thought Hitler would die, but wanted to spare others. If so, it was a noble motive, but flawed, although he expected, as reported from other sources, that this meeting would be in the concrete bunker, not a wooden room, which would have killed those closer for sure, if not everyone.
