Good. 8vo 8"-9" tall; 136 pages; Bound in original drab paper covered boards with slim library grade brown tape over spine. Author not named on title page but attributed to (Maj. ) Henry Whiting, with examples or "Illustrations" on which the verse is based reproduced from the manuscript of Lewis Cass pages 95-136. This copy was held by the library of a liberal arts college. Small call # painted base of spine of old brown tape covering spine edge. Bookplate at front and old card pocket at rear. Front endpage, half-title and rear endpages missing, but text is complete and generally clean. Printer's error in pagination with page numbers adavncing from 8 to 11 but with text continuous Just mild spotting to the untrimmed pages and a penciled set of doodles in blank area of one page mid-book. Uncommon in original edition. Good only.
