Growing up amid dysfunction, addiction, and mental illness is difficult enough. When you factor in the world's stereotypes and man-made boxes based on gender, race, age, culture, and the like, then suddenly life becomes even more difficult to navigate through. The world will dictate to you your importance and what you are capable of doing based on the world's stereotypes of people. Just trying to be who you are and following your dreams can sometimes be a burdensome task. Jesus tells us in His Word "that in this life you will have difficulties." Then He encourages us by saying, "But take heart, I have overcome the world," "The battle is not yours, it's the Lord's." God makes all His children with a plan and purpose for their life. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we begin the process of discovering what our ultimate spiritual destiny will be. Finding God's plan and purpose for your life and your ultimate spiritual destiny will require faith, trust, and belief in God and in His Word. When we come to the realization that we are saved only by God's grace, then we realize that the only one we need approval from in this life is God! Hopefully, Only by My Grace will help others focus on what God's plan for their life is and what God's expectation is for their life.
