My husband is a deputy so I really enjoyed reading about the investigation of two murders, etc. Neil, a Detective, is thrown together with Kate, a Reporter. They had broken off a relationship the summer before. At that time Kate was a Christian and Neil wasn't but since then Neil had become a Christian. Both Neil and Kate struggle to keep a professional relationship. But they find themselves drawn to each other many times. But they go slowly.
As a person who married a new babe in Christ, I know the challenges of being sure you are moving in God's plan. I must have as our marriage has lasted 31 years.
If you love murder mysteries, you are bound to like this book. But I recomment this book for young people who are starting out looking for a mate. Also I recommend it for those just starting out in a career.
The ending will leave you weaping for a while but I'm not giving that away. A very good read.

Balance
This was inspirational romantic suspense. It was engaging and the mystery was good even if you figured out who the bad guy was early on. You followed the police who were on the killer's trail. The new reporter struggled with her ambitions for a good story vs. using her friends and relatives.
