As a child, Earl's Father had been sent to prison for killing a man. At the age of 17, Earl joined the Navy and was stationed at the Pentagon in Washington, DC. Earl represented the Navy in boxing and was undefeated with a 12-0 record. Earl was an officer for the Jefferson County Police Department in Louisville, KY. The year was 1963 and on a foggy, rainy morning, Earl and his partner were on Dixie Highway speeding to robbery call. Two Ft Knox soldiers, from the Army Base just south of Louisville, would not see the speeding police car because of the poor visibility that early morning. Many lives were about to change......
