The following tale occurred during the early events of "The Beast of Spearpointe" (Swords of Faith, Book One), specifically, between the 18th and 19th chapters of the 2023 revised edition. The concept was cut in an early draft for pacing, for the sake of moving the overall plot of the novel toward the introduction of characters and events necessary to its climax. The cut content has since been redeveloped into a largely stand-alone short story and made available to you.
