The author, as already stated, was seized or ar rested at three different times during the course of the ware - once by the civil and twice by the military authorities. Respecting the first arrest he appears to make no complaint, while the other two he characterizes as dishonorable acts, reflecting in the one case on \vashington and in the other on Governor Trum lbull.
