This book is new age or New Thought directed information. It probably would qualify under "self- improvement" as well.
It is a medium-sized book with 218 pages. If you are new to this kind of approach this book will bring you into it without any introduction or much in the way of explanation. Other similar approaches i.e. Religious Science or Science of Mind books by Ernest Holmes will provide a comprehensive explanation whereas this book does not. I have been around New Thought which is similar and sometimes it works and sometimes not so don't expect miracles, but you can expect to get more mentally organized. I wouldn't consider it a religious book as these kinds of books don't really work on banishing moral weaknesses.

Fun inspiration
The Notes from the Universe books are taken from the daily e-mails sent by Mike Dooley from TUT.com. The e-mails (Monday through Friday) are always inspiring, and all of the Notes from The Universe books are comprised of the best of the e-mails. If you missed the e-mails, or you want a quick reference, any and all of these books are well worthwhile. Open them to any page and what it says will be what you need to hear right then and now.
Mike Dooley is an exceptional author, well-read but more than that he has a questioning mind. The Bible says, "ask and it will be given" and Mike Dooley has obviously been asking the right questions and is able to write lighthearted e-mails that are entitled "Notes from the Universe." Unfortunately far too many of us forget that life is supposed to be fun, and Mike Dooley's writings are good reminder of that fact.
I feel sure that the not so simple job of writing the e-mails takes a great deal of thought and probably some time on the part of Mike Dooley. It is wonderful to have his books--there are several different Notes from the Universe books--anyway having any of his Notes from The Universe books to pick up and read when one is looking for some inspiration, or just a quick pick-me-up is well worth having.
I highly recommend all of his books.

This is a must have book for anyone who is interested in New thinking about All that is or God.
