The actual memoir aspect of her year of non-consumption works well; her ramblings about the philosophy/psychology of consumerism, along with the political commentary, detract.

Not worth it
To much politics and about how terrible it is not to be able to go to the movies!! Was expecting so much more. This one is going in the bin. Something I hardly ever do.
