The only composers on this program at all known outside of Mexico are Manuel Ponce and perhaps the charmingly named Tata Nacho, but the whole disc is consistently charming and in places quite artful: hear the ornate little arabesque attached to the phrase ends in David España's Pierrot bajo la luna (Pierrot Under the Moon, track 2), for example.
