Written by W. G. Clarke. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper, 'To my dearest husband from Kara August 1927'. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A few light marks to the boards and spine. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with some spots. Plate facing page 224 is working loose. Very Good.
