A must read on resistance movement in WW2 Europe!!
The book is tremendous and hard to find. I looked on amazon, and they wanted over 100$ for a hard-book copy. It is about Marie Madeleine Fourcade's and the French Resistance Movement, which she helped to lead. It's called 'Noah's Ark" because each member was only known by which animal they were. This was necessary in case you were caught by the Nazis and tortured, you couldn't give them the names of the people in the movement. Fourcade describes her escape from a Nazi prison, and the entire book is riveting. Ms. Fourcade died about 20 years ago, and was buried in Paris where all famous statesmen and scientists are laid to rest.

were the men and women whoo risked and otten lost their lives to resist Nazi domination. They were members of a military intelligence network that waged a relentless fight in France from her fall in 1940 until her liberation in 1945...Soon people will no longerknow what they did nor whty they did it, even if was necessaryo do it: indeed, they wil be pitied for dying for nothing. I should like to know that they willo not be forgotten, that the divine flame that burned in the hearts will be understood.....Read it!!!,, from the introduction
