One of his best, but then I didn't really like his other books too much. This one has a good plot and an interesting mystery to solve. All of his books are chronologically written. That is, you travel with him step by step (literally), as he solves the case. The downside to this is that this author has a tendency to describe inconsequential things in minute detail, like his drive to someone's house to investigate something. He'd say, "The light turned red. He took his foot off the accelerator and squeezed the brake. The car stopped. When the light changed he took a right turn onto Mulberry St. He drove slowly up the driveway and rolled to a stop. He turned off the ignition and heard the engine clicking in the heat. He opened the door. He put his feet out onto the gravel driveway and rested his face in his hands." You get the picture. It can about drive you batty. Who cares how he got there? It has nothing whatsoever to do with the storyline. Couldn't his editor have been kind enough to point this out to him?
