These performances by famed Bach conductor Masaaki Suzuki were recorded in 2016 and 2017 at Yale University in the U.S. but not released until 2022. There's no word from the BIS label on the delay, but it may be that the name of composer Nicolaus Bruhns wasn't considered a marquee attraction. Bruhns (1665-1697) died at 31, and the works recorded here represent about half of his total output (a second volume is on the way, eventually).
